Shamit Khemka: EO has helped me evolve as a global entrepreneur

Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) has completely changed my leadership and management style. I can feel the change in all these years of my association with this amazing organization. I must acknowledge that EO has helped me evolve as a global entrepreneur from just another businessman in the huge crowd of billions of others. EO gives us (entrepreneurs) an opportunity to meet and interact with a huge community of entrepreneurs from all parts of the world. I believe that EO is a great platform for entrepreneurs – both budding and established.

As an entrepreneur, I feel that the role of an entrepreneur is a tough one as you have to be always on your toes. There are hurdles that come in the guise of difficult sales, customers and, sometimes even, employees. You need to be wise enough to skillfully handle these while managing the challenges on personal front. Entrepreneurs are almost always busy looking for ways to grow their business and expand their client base. We hardly think that our leadership style also needs to be changed. Thanks to EO, meeting with like minded, intelligent entrepreneurs from across the globe has helped me change my leadership style. Inspired by their success stories, I also started two joint ventures named foodcloud.in in year 2012 and CSIPL – Cross Section Interactive Private Limited in 2013. Besides this, the number of SynapseIndia's development centers has also increased from just 1 a few years ago to 4 now in Noida, India.

Being associated with EO (on regional and local boards), since 2007, has been a highly rewarding experience for me. Holding the chair as EO Regional Director, South Asia (2014 – 2016) was the best experience that further honed my management and leadership qualities. I am obliged to all fellow members for appreciating my contribution to the EO through standing ovation during the EO RIE event.
